Beautiful vintage Steiff Ferdy horse plush from my childhood collection. This classic Steiff horse features rich brown plush, cream legs, and a flowing mane and tail. The original red bridle is present and is a longer style that is not attached at the sides, allowing it to drape naturally. The iconic Steiff button and yellow ear tag marked Ferdy Steiff Knopf Im Ohr are still attached, which is highly desirable for collectors.
Ferdy the horse was produced by Steiff primarily in the 1960s to early 1970s, placing this piece firmly in the vintage category. The craftsmanship, proportions, and materials reflect Steiff's renowned quality during this era.
Condition is very good for age with light, even wear consistent with careful childhood ownership. Fur remains soft and full, and the horse stands nicely for display. Please see photos for details.
