RARE FiND.....VINTAGE School Teachers or Hand Bell- Heavy Wood Handle & Heavy Brass Bell. It has a brass accent piece on top of the handle for a polished and finished look.
Approximately: 9" Tall x 3-3/4" Across Bottom of brass bell and it weighs almost a pound itself.
I believe it is a reproduction of the early 20th century antique school house teacher’s bell. In researching I’d say this bell is most likely from the 60-70’s itself.
It is made of brass, with a beautifully turned wood handle and a very impressive and very attractive appearance. The weight feels good in your hand and operates and rings perfectly normal with a very clear, strong and very loud with a deep rich lovely tone.
The surfaces of this vintage wood and brass bell is in excellent condition and has a little natural patina on the brass. Please examine the photographs- they are a part of this description.
Very cool display piece and a part of history that is highly functional!
