Knowles, Taylor & Knowles (KT&K) was a prominent pottery company based in East Liverpool, Ohio, operating from 1854 to 1931. This platter features a floral pattern and a ribbed border, which is characteristic of the semi-vitreous dinnerware they produced. They were known for its various wares, including ironstone and semi-vitreous china. The measurements are: 13" wide by 9 1/4" tall. The floral pattern is around the outside rim and in the center of platter. There is a gold painted line around top of platter and framing the ribbing. There is cutting marks in center and paint scratches but no chips or cracks. Very good pre-owned condition for the age of platter.
