This is a set of six appetizer or dessert plates from Gailstyn. They feature a beautiful assortment of flowers in shades of yellow, magenta, orange and blue with stems and leaves of green.
These plates are made from a fine porcelain material. They were produced in the 1970s.
These plates are in excellent condition. They barely look used. There are no chips or utensil marks. The colors are vibrant.
They measure 7 1/2” in diameter.
These vintage porcelain plates were imported by Seymour Mann, a prominent US importer (starting in the 1940s) of decorative collectibles, known for importing porcelain and china from Asia (Japan, then China). These plates were produced in Japan. Upon Seymour Mann’s passing in 2004, this company is no longer in business.
Two of the plates have a sticker on the back indicating they are samples. I thought I would just leave them as is rather than remove the stickers.
