Dixie Logging Tool Company was incorporated in February 1910 by three brothers from Saginaw, Michigan who moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee. The brothers were blacksmiths who were attracted to the South's growing timber industry and the availability of hickory wood for tool handles. The forging plant for Dixie Logging Tool Company is still located at the same site today.
Dixie Industries, a Columbus McKinnon brand, has provided the logging and forestry industry with tools for over 100 years. Their line of logging products includes hookaroons and peavies
