This is a hardcover with dust jacket copy of dancer Fred Astaire's autobiography, Steps in Time, published in 1959 by Harper & Brothers. It is a stated first edition. The book is an ex-library copy and thus has many imperfections. There are stamps and library codes and of course, the card pocket inside the back cover. There are also signs of use - spotting on the cover, small stains here and there throughout the book etc., but there are no missing or torn pages. The book covers Fred's life before his movie years, as a child, later dancing with his sister, Adele, and their success on the stage. His family life, film and television career and other interests, such as horses and golf are other subjects of note. The book includes two sections of black and white photographs.
