Royal Staffordshire A J Wilkinson Green Transferware Carnarvon Castle Stein, Vintage Ceramic Tankard
Beautiful Stein which has a green transfer ware design of "Carnarvon Castle" which is the Anglicized version of Caernarfon, a medieval fortress in Northwest Wales.)
This good looking tankards measures 6 1/4" high, approximately 5" wide (including handle) and its mouth is 2 3/4". The bottom of the tankard has the Royal Staffordshire Pottery hallmark with A J Wilkinson LTD in green.
In very good overall vintage condition, there appears to be a small hairline 1" long hairline fracture on the interior that does not go through mug and there is a very small flea bite on the base of the mug right under the Carnarvon Castle verbiage. Please see pictures for additional details.
Perfect as a piece of stand alone decor, as a vase for flowers or as a desktop receptacle for office related items.
