Smooth, soft, and light. The secret to achieving this comfortable trifecta lies in John Smedley's strict quality control. The wool is sourced from Merino sheep selected from the best livestock farmers in New Zealand, a renowned wool-producing region. The oil and dirt accumulated on the sheep are thoroughly washed away using the rich spring water of the Derbyshire National Park in the village of Lea Mills, Matlock, England, where the factory has been located since the 18th century, reducing the weight by half. Furthermore, the yarn is twisted by skilled craftsmen by hand, creating a softness that fits snugly against the skin. Because of the extremely fine, long fibers, it doesn't feel itchy even when worn directly on the skin, making it a masterpiece that offers an exquisite wearing experience.

Purchased new at beams for 39,600 yen. No fraying, stains, or spots are visible. It has been stored in a paulownia chest of drawers in the closet, so there are slight wrinkles. I usually wear M-L size at UNIQLO. Judging from the width and length, this John Smedley is probably a "M" size or larger than usual for John Smedley.
