Jade Buddha icon sculpture

Jade from Korea. This rare icon sculpture is approx. 9inches by 5 inches solid deep color. Neck area is cracked but glued due to a fall. Almost 12lbs. Still in good wonderful condition. Really beautiful dark jade, given as a gift during Vietnam war time. ***The actually meaning of this particular Buddha pose is called the ‘bhumisparsha mudra’, or the position in which the Buddha rests his left hand palm up on his lap and his right hand palm down, fingers toward the earth indicates that the statue is calling the earth to witness.***see pics also has minor tiny chips but it is a rare beautiful icon. Given during peace efforts as a gift. *this Jade is solid throughout and heavy.
