Pre-owned. Calculator powers on and functions normally with clear display and responsive keys. OFF button does not immediately shut the unit off; however, the calculator does automatically power down on its own after a period of inactivity. Cosmetic wear consistent with age. See photos for details.
OFF BUTTON-Does eventually turn off. This behavior is a well-known and common issue with aging HP-42S calculators. No repairs or modifications have been attempted. I do not have the experience to open this and clean the contacts. This may fix the off button problem though

Including a used leather case holder, not made for this but the calculator does fit
