* Colors Meaning "Five Colors": The name comes from Sanskrit, meaning "five colors" (Benja: 5, Rong: color), and is characterized by luxurious decorations using multiple colors of paint and gold leaf.
* Handmade by Artisans: Everything is hand-painted by artisans, and 24-karat gold is sometimes used for the gold portions.
* One of Thailand's Three Major Ceramics: Along with Celadon ware and Blue & White (blue and white porcelain), it is considered one of the representative crafts of Thailand.
