I am releasing items from my collection.
The exterior condition seems good, but I have never actually taken photos with it, and it is not for photography.
The aperture ring functions normally, but the shutter works in B (bulb) and at high speeds, while the low speeds cause the lever to stop.
The self-timer also stops midway, possibly due to lack of oil.
There appear to be no scratches on the lens, but both the lens and viewfinder are cloudy.
There are no tears in the bellows, and the winding ring also works.
Dimensions are approximately: height 10.5 cm, width 13 cm, depth 4.5 cm (when closed), 10 cm (when extended).
The Carl-6 is a "bellows-type folder (folding camera)" and is a medium format film camera.
The basic shooting size is 6x6 cm (square format), but it also has a "dual format" specification that allows for 4.5x6 cm format.
The lens is typically a "Carl Anastigmat 80 mm f/3.5".
The shutter has B and 1-200 seconds (Model II).
It also has a self-timer version.
The Carl-6 is a "side-opening (side-folding) folder" with a simple unfolding/folding structure.
The viewfinder is a type that protrudes from the top of the body (a long, horizontal top housing), emphasizing portability and compactness in its design.
The winding knob is on the left side of the body (left side when the photographer holds it), and a ratchet gear was used.
The body exterior is covered in leather, and when the front door is closed, it forms a compact "box shape".
The square 6x6 format allows for freedom of composition and the atmosphere unique to "square photos".
The Carl-6 is a camera manufactured by Carl Optical (originally Kigawa K?gaku), a Japanese manufacturer.
It was first released around 1952-1953.
There were Model I/Model II, and later an improved version called "New Carl Six" was released.
After the war, the Japanese camera industry continued to recover and develop, and many medium format cameras and bellows folders were made during that time.
New ones are no longer available, and it is treated as "used", "vintage", or a "collector's item".
