Carved Jade Pin/Brooch

This is a small, oval shaped, metal pin/Brooch, with a pretty green & white carved Jade piece set into it. The metal border has a decorative floral pattern carved into the top, all the way around it, & holds the stone in place with 4 tabs. It seems loose but is actually held in really good. The Jade stone has a picture carved into it, which Is hard for me to see, but I believe it is floral, and resembles a lot of pieces I have seen online, that were Chinese. The metal on the backside is hallow in the center, allowing light to shine through the Jade stone. It has a hinged pin that flips open & closed, with a safety clasp that can close to secure it in place or open to take it off. I don't know what kind of metal it is. There are no markings anywhere that I can see, perhaps due to it's age? It is definitely dirty & tarnished but I don't want to ruin it by trying to clean it. It could be vintage or antique but I really don't know & can't find anything online that looks similar enough.
