Gorgeous brown agate stone pendant. The bail is silver and smooth. The stone is polished. Such a pretty piece in wonderful shape.

Brown agate's chemical properties are defined by its composition of silicon dioxide (\(SiO_{2}\)), the same chemical formula as quartz, and its classification as a silicate mineral. It is a cryptocrystalline variety of chalcedony, meaning it is composed of microscopic and submicroscopic fibers of quartz, often mixed with another quartz polymorph called moganite. Trace amounts of other minerals like goethite or hematite can contribute to its brown color.
