These chokers are great as they can easily be adjusted for comfort or style, or taken off or put on, simply by pulling different strings in the necklace.

This is a pretty pendant that was created by artisans in Bali out of Shiva Shell, Abalone, and other shell; I placed it on an adjustable green satin cord that matches greens in the flashes of shell in the light.
