First edition, 44th printing hardcover copy of A Pattern Language: Towns, Buildings, Construction by Christopher Alexander, Sara Ishikawa & Murray Silverstein (Oxford University Press, 1977). An iconic architecture / design / civil engineering book, richly illustrated. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges. Boards corners bumped and rear board faintly bowed. Binding is firm though spine leans slightly. Faint soiling and waviness to outer edges of text block, and with some sparse underlining and margin notes. Pages are otherwise clean.
