This 1999 Lincoln Memorial cent shows characteristics consistent with a partial copper plating error found on modern copper plated zinc cents. Since 1982 Lincoln cents have been struck on zinc planchets coated with a thin copper layer. When that layer does not fully bond during the minting process areas of the underlying zinc core may remain exposed.

On this coin lighter gray metal is visible beneath the copper surface which is consistent with incomplete plating rather than normal circulation wear. This condition originates at the Mint and is typically caused by bonding irregularities during the electroplating process not by cleaning or post mint damage.

This coin is offered raw and ungraded. While the visible features are consistent with a partial plating error no certification or guarantee is made regarding exact error attribution rarity or value. Photos should be used to judge condition extent of plating loss and originality. Listed honestly as is for collectors.
