For sale are Two early 1900 posters. These were part of the charity CCHF (Children’s Country Holiday Fund). They would bring children down from the London area and give them breaks down to the country side. They did this throughout the war time to take the children to safety too. I believe the one with the boy on the chimney was during the first or Second World War but I’m not 100% sure. These are original and it’s great to have a bit of history like this still here today as many of them would have been destroyed. One of the posters was printed by Dangerfield printing and the other is printed by Strange the printer Ltd. Each poster has an artist or designer name on them too. We did ask a few auction houses what they would value them at and they estimated them to be worth at least £250 each and possibly more but couldn’t find direct comparisons so looking for offers or if someone could give us some idea on value. The posters themselves are in good condition and the scratches you can see in the pictures are just to the plastic which is covering them. The colour really pops nicely on one with the child on the chimney. Thanks for looking! Many thanks.
